Product Overview
SolidGate™ is an integrated multi-functional, application gateway and secure network border controller that allows the convergence of various online IP services such as data, VoIP, video on demand, for both wired and wireless networks. By managing the routing, Quality of Service (QoS), security, and authentication requirements of online service offerings, SolidGate™ allows carriers to significantly reduce network cost and complexity by integrating all these functions into a single device.

The appliance's QoS feature consists mainly of bandwidth shaping and management capability implemented on a per-gateway and per-IP basis. This means the appliance can be configured to allocate bandwidth depending on the type of service requesting it (typically determined via the port number it uses), and/or the customer (typically determined by the IP address of the service user).
