SolidGate - Internet Convergence and Control

With SolidGate™, carriers can enforce QoS for various sections of their delivery networks. SolidGate uses hierarchical bandwidth management that can be made specific to a carrier's infrastructure. It can apply QoS based on user profiles, perform traffic shaping, and do bandwidth optimization between network devices from a carrier's Core network up to customer premises equipment (CPE), and even to end-user devices. It also allows differentiated QoS on a per-subscriber and per-service session basis. These features give carriers the flexibility they need to deploy a wide range of guaranteed bandwidth plans and services.

SolidGate™ can also function as a Secure Authentication and Access Gateway (enforcing Session Admission Control using RADIUS authentication). In addition, SolidGate is also an Application Layer Gateway (ALG) with media-proxy, an integrated services static router, and acts as a data security layer provider (VPN/tunneling) for various types of traffic.

SolidGate™ will allow carriers to realize other benefits as well. By integrating all these functions into a single, easily configured device, SolidGate™ simplifies network management, cuts down costs, and widens service offerings and revenue opportunities.
