PDF InfoWeapons Appoints Matthew Caldwell as its Chief Technology Officer

Atlanta, GA- September 04, 2007 - InfoWeapons, a global provider of network infrastructure appliances, today announced the appointment of Matthew Caldwell as its Chief Technology Officer.

Mr. Caldwell joins with founder Lawrence E. Hughes in an effort to continuously develop policies and direction for InfoWeapons products. Mr. Hughes, the company's Chairman, will assume the role of Chief Software Architect.

Mr. Caldwell brings a combination of over 17 years of experience in security and entrepreneurship to InfoWeapons. He comes to InfoWeapons from IBM Tivoli (NASDAQ:IBM) where he served as Chief Security Architect. In this capacity, he helped expand business opportunities and bring to fruition a number of new technologies. Prior to his work at Tivoli, Mr. Caldwell was Chief Security Architect of Micromuse, which was acquired by IBM for $865 million. He also co-founded and helped build GuardedNet, which defined the Security Information Management market.

Mr. Caldwell is a noted expert in a variety of operating systems and has substantial web design and development experience. He also has extensive experience in security auditing, firewall and intrusion detection systems (IDS) development, risk assessment, penetration testing, and security research.
