Atlanta, GA - June 30, 2007 - A new configuration tool for network administrators managing IPv6-only and dual stack networks has been released by InfoWeapons. Known as SolidIPConfig™, the tool was made available at the 2008 Philippine IPv6 Summit held in Manila last May 21-22.

SolidIPConfig™ is a user-friendly IPv6 Configuration Client for Windows. This utility allows users to easily and accurately configure their assigned IPv6 addresses to their local network adapters.

Long IPv6 addresses and the cumbersome tools previously available made such a task prone to error, especially when numerous addresses and network adapters were involved. With SolidIPConfig™, users can add new IPv6 addresses as well as view, edit and remove existing IPv6 addresses on their local machine.

Although SolidIPConfig™ can be downloaded for free, InfoWeapons has stated that the software is not in the public domain and remains the company's intellectual property. It can be downloaded from:

InfoWeapons also announced that the upcoming v1.1 of SolidIPConfig™ will include the Privacy Guard feature, which allows users to protect their identities by hiding their IP addresses. It will also add support for Windows Vista.
