SolidDNS™ tops TAHI Interoperability tests
Dulles, VA - January 30, 2010 - InfoWeapons, Inc. participated in the 10th TAHI IPv6 Interoperability Test Event held recently in Chiba, Japan.
The event drew 15 organizations and vendors from the U.S., Canada, Taiwan, India, and the Philippines. It tested the latest IPv6 devices and equipment, including SolidDNS™, the dual-stack DNS/DHCP appliance of InfoWeapons that wowed participants on the third day of the event.
"These tests are really comprehensive and nitpicky," said InfoWeapons Chairman & CTO Lawrence E. Hughes, who represented the company in the event. "They check every aspect of all relevant RFCs. If you pass these tests, that pretty much ensures you have implemented exactly what the RFCs say."
SolidDNS™ performed extremely well during conformance testing, according to Mr. Hughes, who received a lot of inquiries about the product's DHCPv6 and DNSSEC capabilities afterwards.
"InfoWeapons is very well respected here [at TAHI]. Time for our guys to take a really big bow!" he added.
Also tested at the event, which ran from January 25-29, 2010, was NAT64, the IPv4/IPv6 translator technology currently being discussed in the IETF as a potential countermeasure against IPv4 address exhaustion.
The TAHI Project (http://www.tahi.org/) was started in 1998 to develop IPv6 verification technology and systems. Its interoperability test events provide engineers as well as research institutes around the world an opportunity to get together and verify the interoperability of their newly developed IPv6 devices and equipment.
