Dulles, VA - April 2, 2009 - Malaysia's National Advance IPv6 Centre of Excellence (NAv6) has deployed the InfoWeapons SolidDNS™ DNS/DHCP/DNSSEC appliance, replacing its legacy BIND server. The secure, dual-stack (supporting both IPv4 and IPv6) solution became operational on March 5, 2009.

NAv6 has been working in collaboration with InfoWeapons to familiarize its team of engineers with the SolidDNS™ solution. The appliance will provide NAv6 with better performance, much easier manageability through its intuitive interfaces, quick DNSSEC configuration, and increased security.

"We expect this deployment to enhance improve our overall network performance," said Dr. Sureswaran Ramadass, Director of NAv6. "One of the first steps in migrating to IPv4/IPv6 ready environment is to ensure that we have a reliable and secure IPv4/IPv6 DNS. SolidDNS™ will ensure that our domains are accessible via IP4 and IPv6 as well as provide the needed security," he continued.

The group has included SolidDNS™ in its list of IPv6-ready entities (http://www.nav6.org/ready.php). In addition, it has also featured two other InfoWeapons products on its website. The InfoWeapons DHCPv6 Client is a tool that enables administrators to easily configure DHCPv6 parameters in client machines using a graphical user interface. SolidIPConfig™, on the other hand, is an IPv6 Configuration Client for Windows. This utility allows users to easily and accurately configure their assigned IPv6 addresses to their local network adapters. Both tools can be downloaded from: http://www.nav6.org/convetor.php.

NAv6 is based in Penang, Malaysia. It was established by the Ministry of Energy, Water and Communication (MEWC) in March 2005 and serves as Malaysia's hub for IPv6 research, human resource development and monitoring of IPv6 development for Malaysia.
