InfoWeapons Chairman Speaks at India's IPv6 Confab
InfoWeapons, Inc. recently participated in the India IPv6 Summit held on December 15-16, 2009.
InfoWeapons Chairman and CTO Lawrence E. Hughes gave a talk on the second day of the conference, which drew various speakers from the private and public sectors and over 1,000 participants.
In his talk, Mr. Hughes highlighted his experience in setting up his own IPv6 home network (http://www.v6home.org/) using InfoWeapons products and other open-source technologies. More than demonstrating the capability of SolidDNS™, SolidPBX™ and SolidWall™, he said this personal project proves just how far along IPv6 and related technologies are in terms of its application in day-to-day experiences.
"2010 was proclaimed to be the 'year of IPv6' there, and the presentations I saw showed this to be more than empty marketing speak," said Mr. Hughes of the conference.
Organized by the IPv6 Forum India, the conference was the culmination of a year of meetings and training around the country. It drew participants from service providers, systems integrators, application & system vendors and the academe. Keynotes tackled a variety of topics from IPv6 in railways and rural emergency healthcare to its impact in the financial sector.
