Challenges of DNSSEC Adoption
Experts reveal that the unhurried DNSSEC (Domain Name System Security Extensions) implementation among businesses is due to a number of factors including lack of government regulation and disinclination of registrars to sign keys, Tyler Thia of ZDNet Asia reports. Also, organizations are hesitant to incur expenses for a system improvement that does not earn income. Difficulty in deploying DNSSEC is also a hindrance to its implementation. But rather than suffer the effects of a compromised network, experts say it is better to secure the DNS itself.
