SolidIPConfig™ is an IPv6 Configuration Client for Windows. This utility allows users to easily and accurately configure their assigned IPv6 addresses to their local network adapters. SolidIPConfig™ is provided by InfoWeapons as a free downloadable program. It is, however, protected by copyright, and is not in the public domain.

One of the benefits of IPv6 is stateless autoconfiguration, which allows a user to plug a device on a network and instantly get connected. This feature is accomplished using an IPv6 router that advertises its subnet-prefix, which in turn is used by laptops, smartphones, or any device to configure its own IPv6 address automatically without human intervention.

Unique-Local address (ULA) is an IPv6 Unicast address type that is intended to be used privately within a site and unique among IPv6 nodes within one or more private networks. ULA is similar to the uniqueness of the Global Unicast address, but the context of its usage is not routable to the IPv6 Internet.
