DNSSEC

SolidDNS™ fully supports DNSSEC, a suite of protocols designed to secure DNS service by authenticating the sources of DNS data, providing authenticated denial of existence, and ensuring DNS data integrity. DNSSEC uses digital signatures and PKI technologies. SolidDNS™ provides a user-friendly, graphical interface to the complex DNSSEC procedures, greatly simplifying implementation.

Geographical Filters

Using Views, SolidDNS™ supports the use of geographical filters. This feature allows a single SolidDNS™ server to customize the DNS data in its responses to queries depending on the designated location of the client’s IP address.

Recent News/ Updates

Disaster Recovery

SolidDNS™ appliances can be configured to provide uninterrupted DNS service by automatically replicating DNS data to a Disaster Recovery (DR) site’s servers and allowing queries to be resolved from the DR servers.

ISP Telco Enterprise

ISPs and telecommunications companies typically cater to varied markets with very large subscriber bases. SolidDNS™ appliances may be deployed in such organizations as tiered caching servers to maximize performance and balance traffic loads.

Recent News/ Updates

ISP External Stealth DNS

SolidDNS™ can be deployed as a hidden or stealth server, also known as a “stealth DNS” deployment. Queries for certain DNS data are redirected to authoritative secondary DNS servers that have read-only access permissions. The data provided by the secondary servers comes from a hidden primary server.

Small Enterprise Internal Deployment with MS AD

SolidDNS™ can be easily integrated into enterprise networks that use Microsoft's Active Directory (AD), providing reliable DNS and DHCP services. The appliance, acting as either a primary or secondary DNS server, may replace or complement an existing DNS server in the network.

Two or more SolidDNS™ appliances can be deployed as primary and secondary servers as well.

Recent News/ Updates

Large Enterprise Multiple Location Deployment

Large enterprises often have offices and facilities in multiple locations, and many of these locations can have one or more networks each. SolidDNS™ appliances can be deployed in each of these locations. For locations that have several networks, SolidDNS™ appliances can also be deployed in each of these networks.

Recent News/ Updates

Large Enterprise Single Location Deployment

A large enterprise can have several logical and physical networks in a single location (such as its head office). One or more SolidDNS™ appliances can be deployed to each of these networks to cater exclusively to their DNS and DHCP requirements. In this scenario, each deployed appliance will only handle queries and requests from clients within its own assigned network.

Recent News/ Updates

Basic Deployment: Primary and Secondary DNS servers

Two or more SolidDNS™ systems may be deployed within the network as both primary and secondary DNS servers, allowing for additional security and redundancy of DNS data. They may be used to resolve local hostnames to private IP addresses or to resolve external domains on the Internet. They can also replace or complement an existing DNS server.
